"putting myself back together again" dolls

Participants will create an anger sequence processing the triggers, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and effects of their anger.  They will create their past and future anger sequences on two "Putting Myself Back Together" dolls.  By writing and coloring emotions on a paper doll made up of puzzle peaces participants are able to reflect on their current emotions and where they feel these emotions are in their body.  Through journaling and reflecting on their present emotions and envisioning what they wish to feel in the future they will begin to transform their way of expressing anger in a healthy manner.

Loving Heart suncatchers

This workshop supports participants through a process that builds self-compassion through the creation of a piece of drift wood, seashells, wire, beads, and shrinky-dink sun-catcher.  We will be taking this time to remember the things that make us special, and send loving messages to our hearts. We are going to make sun-catchers made of shrinky dinks with nurturing words and symbols that can catch the sunlight when we hang them in a window. These loving messages can become like the sunlight shining, warming our lives and bringing light into each day, especially when we need it most.
